About Rob
Rob Mentasti (1969) started his career in accounts receivables with NMB Heller (now ING Commercial Finance). He pursued his career as credit manager with an international fashion wholesale company. In this role he encountered a variety of bottlenecks in various processes within the company and with the outsourced partners. Rob's vision is that bottlenecks in (customer) processes can be addressed and resolved quickly, if all processes in the entire chain are transparent. In order to create the proper environment, employees in front and back office need to have all relevant information, also outside their own departments.
Rob thinks that all employees within a company are relationship managers. Rob had the opportunity to implement this vision with his employer at the time, Salty Dog. As manager customer services Rob managed the entire back en front office, including the total logistic process and warehouse.
For his thesis on this subject Rob was awarded in 1998 with the Credit Management Award by former NCM (now Atradius) CEO Maarten Hulshoff.
In 1999 Rob and two partners founded Credit Partners. This company specializes in optimizing work capital with targeted advise and implementing process enhancements. In 2002 Rob was offered the position of head operations with PCM Uitgevers were he was doing a project (creating a shared service center) at the time. PCM Uitgevers is a leading publisher of national newspapers in the Netherlands with editions like de Volkskrant and NRC Handelblad. At the same time Rob participated in an Executive MBA program with IBO in Zeist.
Mid 2005 Rob left PCM Uitgevers an after a sabatical he chose for a consultants role with Atos Consulting. His area of expertise was Finance Process Optimization, especially with regard to order-to-cash (OTC), credit management and purchase to pay (P2P). Although this was a very challenging position he missed the continues involvement with the business and a dedicated team of people. This resulted in a new career for Rob in interim management were he could fully employ his passion for process enhancements and building teams.
